THE PIÈCE DE RÉSISTANCE

November, 2018

Motorised roller blinds are becoming a hugely popular option throughout the domestic and commercial housing market across Melbourne. They allow ease of use at the touch of a button, and they do away with manual chains that can become arduous and noisy, not to mention giving the residence a very luxurious and sophisticated finish.

When this client came to us in September, we were thrilled to be handed the task of furnishing this impeccable renovation project with blinds and curtains. With no expenses being spared, our client was after the French designed and manufactured Somfy motorisation technology to operate all 12 expansive living room blinds via a hub accessible on an iPhone and tablet.

The installation of this project took 1 day to complete, with the blinds being ready just two weeks after our client proceeded with the order. Each blind was installed after the cables were hard-wired to the house to keep exposure of these electrical cables to a minimum and provide an ongoing power source. The blinds were then programmed and transferred to the phone app via the Connexoon wifi modem. We were then able to add channels on the app which allowed selected blinds to all come down simultaneously, such as 'Night Time' where all blinds closed at once, and 'Morning Sun' where all east facing blinds closed. We added a sheer curtain to the large dining area window to provide a sense of warmth against the timber dining table and grey tiled floor, as well as chain operated roller blinds to all upstairs bedrooms and office.

We wish our client all the very best in their beautifully renovated new home.
